Role:
Senior Associate/Group Head – Legal
Qualifications:
- LLB with 4 – 8 years PQE in a reputed law firm / MNC.
- Candidates with CS qualification and / or LLM would be preferred.
- Demonstrate extensive experience in Corporate laws (Companies Act, FEMA, FDI Policy), Transactions, Contracts, Employment laws, Banking & Insolvency laws;
- Strong communication skills and ability to represent Fox Mandal & Associates to the Clients efficiently;
- Ability to effectively conduct comprehensive research on complex issues and guiding juniors through research assignments;
- Adequate knowledge of legal database usage and usage of technology in legal work;
- Work with cross-functional teams on a range of issues, including data protection, policy, product, and regulatory issues;
- PowerPoint and Excel skills;
- Professional Proficiency in English is a must. Professional Proficiency in one or more South Asian or European languages would be an added benefit.
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills, including ability to work effectively with a team;
- Quick grasp of client’s business and leveraging business-understanding to deliver value to stakeholders;
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure;
- Flexible with occasional extended workhours;
- Proactive & meticulous with attention to detail and reasonably punctual;
- Comfortable with occasional out-of-station travel for Client meetings, and other work-related events;
- Pro-active team player.
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for managing and grooming the junior team members;
- Lead teams in the conduct of corporate due diligence with a view to generate executive summary and comprehensive diligence reports;
- Draft, review and negotiate investment agreements, security holders’ agreements, subscription agreements, term sheets, undertaking(s), etc. as well as commercial contracts with minimal supervision;
- Undertake and oversee research on various aspects of corporate and commercial laws;
- Be responsible for generating periodic newsletters and other collaterals on behalf of the vertical;
- Contribute to building efficient internal and external processes for the team and firm; and
- Contribute to the business development of the team and the firm, and participate in conferences and seminars on behalf of the team and the firm.
