Role: Group Legal & Compliance – Lawyer
Qualification:
· Lawyer (from any reputed University – Preferably NLUs) with around 8 to10 years of post-qualification experience- additional CS qualification is a bonus.
· Preference for a candidate with initial years in a law firm and subsequent industry experience. Listed Company experience will be highly valued.
· Soft Skills: Ethical, trustworthy, collaborative, willing to learn and contribute, timely solution oriented, team player, self-motivated, achiever.
Experience:
8-10 years.
Responsibilities:
· In-depth understanding of key regulations in Compliance (ESG, Labour, Ethics, Trade and Sanctions, PMLA, FTP etc): In depth understanding of the nuances of specific compliance areas relevant to the ABMCPL from legal & statutory compliance to business ethics and governance mechanisms. Exposure to compliance softwares/ technologies preferred
· Risk Assessment & Management: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies with business stakeholders.
· Internal Controls & Compliance Program Management: Develop and implement internal controls and manage compliance programs for ABMCPL. Run the Statutory and Ethical Compliance program in ABMCPL.
· Drafting Complex Contracts: Draft complex contracts with specific terms and conditions tailored to the needs of the business, ensuring clarity and comprehensiveness.
· Business advisory: Understand complex business requirements and provide solution oriented legal advice.
· Impact Analysis: Undertake impact analysis of latest relevant judicial pronouncements on various businesses.
· Statutory Compliances: Hands on experience in statutory compliances (preferably with Listed Company experience); including setting up and winding down of companies, Trusts etc. Good understanding and experience of LODR and ICDR is necessary.
· Key stakeholder management: Demonstrate the ability to manage stakeholder queries and feedback and provide business savvy solutions to legal and compliance issues
· Relationship Building: Interaction with various external stakeholders such as law firms, industry bodies, etc
