The firm is hiring for the position of Manager, Global Contract.
Job Description:
- Review, draft and negotiate a variety of Commercial Agreements such as Technology and Software/Subscription (SAAS) Agreements, Marketing Agreements, Consultancy Agreement, Event Contracts, Services Agreements, Lease Agreements, Data Protection Agreements, exposure to Corporate Secretarial and M&A matters and other Vendor agreements based on third party and Zscaler’s standard template and cross-functional discussions with a Global Legal Team and other Internal/External stakeholders.
- Independently coordinate the Review, Vetting, Execution of Agreements, including negotiation of Commercial Contracts and tracking/updating matters in Contract Management System.
- Should be responsible for Team Management, Stakeholder Management.
- Responsible to lead and guide the team by possessing leadership skills. Should be personable, confident, trustworthy, and friendly demeanor (ability to build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders).
- Should be responsible for finalization of the Commercial Contracts by having analytical approach. Should possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of proven work experience in drafting, reviewing, negotiating and finalizing a variety of Global Commercial Contracts.
- Prior proven experience working at a Global Software Company or other MNC would be preferable.
- Excellent academic credentials with LLB/LLM from a Premier Institution or International Law Schools preferred. CS degree would be desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Curiosity and willingness to learn new things. Experience managing external counsel from a quality, timing perspective.
- Commercial and solution oriented Legal approach and attitude. Highly adaptable and service-oriented demeanor.
- Ability to take ownership and operate independently in the delivery of Legal services with sense of urgency, reliability, practicality and personal skills compatible with building trust with stakeholders.
- Experience with crafting or improving playbooks for categories of Global Commercial Contracts.
- Experience or validated curiosity about working with technologies such as E-Signature Solutions, Contract Management Systems, Vendor Management Systems.
- Deliver high quality strategic and operational Legal services and counselling in all areas of Law that will support business and growth objectives; and protect Company’s rights, interests, and reputation.
- Support to Business departments on major and complex Legal matters and playing an active role in the development and effectiveness of the legal department by sharing knowledge and experience.
- Ensure legal risks are timely identified, assessed, evaluated, and mitigated through proper strategic and management action plans, as necessary.
