22. U.K. High Court allowed Nirav Modi’s extradition to India.
23. WHO releases Global Vaccine Market Report, 2022, to capture the implications of COVID-19 on global vaccine markets.
24. US Department of Treasury has removed India from its Currency Monitoring List.
25. G-20 summit held in Bali, Indonesia. Motto for this G-20 is Recover Together, Recover Stronger.
26. PM unveiled logo, theme and website of India’s G-20 Presidency.
27. World’s population touches 8 billion.
28. Digital Shakti 4.0- launched by National Commission for Women, in collaboration with CyberPeace Foundation and Meta, to create safe cyberspace for women and girls.
29. NASA launches Artemis-1 rocket on a mission to the moon.
30. India could emerge as a semiconductor manufacturing hub as part of ‘China Plus One’ diversification strategy.
31. Equatorial Guinea President became the world’s longest serving president (in power since 1979).
32. Oceansat- 3, Earth Observation Satellite (EOS) launched by ISRO. 
33. iNCOVACC- world’s first intranasal vaccine manufactured by Bharat Biotech received approval for Covid booster doses from Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI)

National

1. ‘Football4Schools’- Ministry of Education has signed an MoU with Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) and All India Football Federation (AIFF).
2. The Haryana Government recently published the Haryana EV Policy 2022 which aims to contribute towards the environment, reduce carbon footprints and encourage citizens to drive and purchase more EVs. 
3. Mulling remote vote facility for NRIs, Centre tells SC. 
4. The National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST), cleared the way for the inclusion of the ‘Pahari ethnic group’ in the Scheduled Tribes (ST) list of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
5. The Central Government has issued guidelines for rolling out its waste-to-energy programme, paving the way for companies to produce biogas and bioCNG, and electricity from urban, industrial and agricultural waste and residues.

10. Space technology startup Skyroot Aerospace is set to make history by sending India’s first privately developed rocket Vikram-S into space under the ‘Prarambh’ Mission.
11. As per recent study conducted in Maharashtra and Odisha, soil carbon sequestration may help fight climate change.
12. Bhopal Railway Station has been awarded a 4- star ‘Eat Right Station’ certification for providing high-quality, nutritious food to passengers.

19. Mission Prarambh: ISRO successfully launches Vikram-S (India’s 1st privately built rocket).
20. Indira Gandhi Prize for Peace, Disarmament and Development of 2021 was awarded to Pratham, an NGO functioning in the field of education.
21. Tamil Nadu Government declared Arittapatti village in Madurai district as the first Biodiversity Heritage Site in the State.
22. India’s first private launchpad unveiled at Sri Harikota.

Legal

1. SC to examine law depriving undertrials the Right to Vote. (Aditya Prasanna Bhattacharya v. UoI and Ors)
2. The Union minister of Law and Justice criticized the Supreme Court Collegium system, saying that judges only recommend the appointment or elevation of those they know and not always the fittest person for the job.
3. SC, by 3:2 majority, has upheld the validity of the 103rd Constitutional Amendment which provides 10% reservation for the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) among forward castes in government jobs and colleges across India. (Janhit Abhiyan v. Union of India)
4. SC, has upheld the Employees’ Pension (Amendment) Scheme, 2014, but quashed the threshold limit of Rs 15,000 monthly salary for joining the pension fund. (Employees Provident Fund Organization v. B Sunil Kumar and connected cases)
5. Retired High Court Chief Justice Rituraj Awasthi- appointed as the Chairperson of the 22nd Law Commission of India.
6. SC, exercising its powers under Article 142 of the Constitution, set free the remaining six convicts in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case. (RP Ravichandran v. State of Tamil Nadu)
7. Government has appointed 15 judicial and technical members at the NCLT.
8. Amendments proposed to the Competition Act, 2002, to reduce the time limit for approval of combinations to 150 days from the current 210 days.
9. SC launched an online portal for filing RTI applications.
10. Bilkis Bano moves the Supreme Court against the release of 11 convicts.
11. Women can also be held guilty under Section 354 IPC for outraging woman’s modesty (State of Maharashtra vs Rovena @ Aadnya Amit Bhosle).
12. Delhi High Court passes omnibus order restraining infringement of Amitabh Bachchan personality rights. ( Amitabh Bachchan v. Rajat Nagi & Ors).
13. Article 326 of the Constitution gives citizens the right to vote and that cannot be overruled by the ancillary law-making powers of parliament, the Supreme Court observed.
14. Uttarakhand cabinet gives in-principle approval to shift Uttarakhand High Court from Nainital to Haldwani.
