The Internet Freedom Foundation (IFF) is an Indian non-profit organisation born out of the SaveTheInternet.in movement – where over a million Indians mobilised to take action in defence of a free and open internet. They come from all over India, from different backgrounds and fields, including technology, law, policy, design, journalism. They aim to promote the rights of Internet users – including freedom of speech, privacy, net neutrality and freedom to innovate.
Their work focuses on opportunities to support research and aid policymakers, build campaigns and legal interventions, and deploy technology in order to protect users and advance the public interest. They collaborate with individuals, organisations and entities across the stakeholder and political spectrum to help achieve their goals.
