Commercial Contract Management (Legal)
Qualifications:
- Any graduate preferably with a law degree.
- 15+ years relevant experience in legal/contract management (IT Outsourcing Industry experience ONLY).
- Ability to work on-site alongside DXC Account Team and Customers.
- Good working knowledge of the fundamental legal provisions and commercial risks and issues of commercial contracts.
Responsibilities:
- Gain a strong understanding of DXC’s products and services and the technical solution provided to each of DXC’s customers to appropriately advise DXC Stakeholders on contractual risks and issues. Be an accountable advisor to senior business leaders and advise on legal and contractual aspects. Represent DXC’s interests at DXC client meetings.
- Review and analyse claims that may be received from client and advice on it.
- Coordinate with invoicing and invoice collection teams to ensure that invoices are raised as per contractual provisions and all contractual levers for collection of overdue payments are utilized. Coordinate with external law firms as required to help them understand disputes/issues.
- Prepare Executive briefing decks on contracts, issues for DXC and Customer Stakeholders.
- Engaging relevant stakeholders in negotiation decisions involving legal or regulatory requirements, contract standards and cost target
- Proactive monitoring of obligations and early warning and profit leakage triggers with ongoing development of handling plans
- Maintaining contractual documents, files, correspondence, meeting minutes, other appropriate and applicable documents.
- Summarization and conforming of the contract and regular education of the contract summary to the account team
- Providing ongoing expert advice to account teams regarding legal and commercial implications of specific terms and conditions in contracts.
- Constantly improve and report on project/account performance to internal leadership.
- Review and advice on all business communications which has potential legal impact.
- Drafting, reviewing, and redlining of various legal and contractual documents, including participating in end-to-end RFP Process.
- Ensure Management is informed of business performance responsively and as required to support business planning & decision-making (e.g., pipeline progress, forecast-toclose success, progress on opportunity, etc.)
