Qualifications:
Technical Skills
- Good experience of handling team
- Good understanding of law and legal concepts
- Strong legal analytical skills
- Good legal writing skills
- Ability to identify TAT and resources required
Process Specific Skills
- Exposure to US P&C Insurance Claims Litigation, US Civil procedure, US Courts and legal documentation
- Awareness of processes like objective coding, e-discovery & document review
- Good experience in working with US court clerks and record retrieval vendors
- Drafting of low complexity motions, orders, releases, settlement agreements and Interrogatories
Soft Skills (Desired)
- Proficient in legal knowledge and its application
- Eye for detail
- Excellent English communication skills – written and spoken
- Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and good keyboarding speed
- Knowledge of using legal search engines
- Proficient in liaising with Clients, vendors, team and EXL support functions
Responsibilities:
Claims Litigation Support Services to US P&C Insurance Carrier
- Managing litigation support services team providing following Claims Litigation Support Services –
- Open/Close/Transfer cases
- Order Medical/Other records and follow-up
- Record Chronology and Summarization
- Litigation/Subpoena document review including redactions and privilege logs
- Interrogatories responses
- Legal correspondence for Attorney/Paralegal use during litigaiton
- Document management
- Claim File transfer
- Legal bill review
- Scheduling, Calendar management and Deposition scheduling/summarization
Admin Responsibilities
- Scoping of projects to identify TAT and resources required
- Attending client calls and internal calls to ensure streamlined process
- Recruitment and training
- Assist the higher management in planning and implementing strategies
- Track the progress of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual objectives
- Evaluate employee performance and identify hiring and training needs
- Create reports, analyze and interpret data
