Job Description:
- Location: Bengaluru
- Qualifications / Batch: 2013 – 2015
- Experience: 6 Years To 7 Years
- This is full-time role for a transactional lawyer (M&A, PE/VC).
Minimum Qualifications:
- Qualified LLB or LLM from premier law school in India / abroad (qualified to work in India).
- 6 years of demonstrated success across M&A, PE / VC transactions with a Tier 1 law firm.
- Stickler for timelines of assignments and a multi-tasker able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Solution-oriented approach with proven ability to close transactions independently with minimal supervision.
- Outstanding communication skills – both written and verbal – with a proven ability to communicate to all “clients” (internal and external).
- Solid understanding on a wide range of legal subjects, ability to build on this knowledge, spot issues and bring in specialists as needed.
- Drive for technical superiority by staying abreast of developments in Law and be the go-to subject matter expert.
Key Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the person will include but not limited to:
- Commercial contracts: Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating legally binding agreements on behalf of the client.
- M&A Deal Management: Conducting due diligence, drafting, negotiating and closing deals. Collaborate closely with business partners to resolve all legal issues and mitigate liability risks.
- Corporate Governance: Build and lead compliance organization; coordinate development of compliance agenda; sponsor and support compliance initiatives. Conduct legal audits of various functions to ensure compliance with the policies and procedures.
- Venture Capital: Helping start-ups or existing corporations find capital to build or expand the business, which can involve either private or public financing.
