Role:
Legal Manager
Qualifications:
- LL.B or LL.M from a reputed Law College.
- 5 – 8 years of experience with in-house Legal Teams in Securities and Stock Broking industry
- Minimum 2 years PQE as a practicing Lawyer/associate of a senior practicing Lawyer will be an added advantage.
- Sound knowledge of securities laws, Bye-laws and Regulations applicable in India.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of general laws, civil and criminal, and legal procedures in India.
- Specialization in Arbitration and Mediation.
- Very good legal drafting, including drafting and vetting of complex agreements, and communication skills.
- Ability to create legal defensive and proactive strategies.
- Excellent inter-personal and coordination skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prosecuting/defending litigations by or against the company, regulatory adjudications, enquiry proceedings, statutory actions and investigations.
- Engagement, briefing and coordination with external counsels for conducting Court cases.
- Research and evaluation different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations, keeping in view the applicable laws, regulations, and rulings of law courts and other competent authorities.
- Effective legal risk management techniques and resolution of legal issues.
- Drafting/vetting agreements and other legal documents ensuring the company’s legal interests and rights.
- Carry out your legal works with absolute integrity and responsibility.
- Keep abreast with the developments and amendments in the legal domains related your functions.
- Candidate may be required to travel as per legal requirements
- Handled Investor Grievance and Arbitration of Broking/Security Industry
- Handle Police complaints, FIR, 138 cases, execution cases and drafting police complaints etc
