Qualifications:
Minimum: Bachelor of Law degree strongly preferred. Paralegal Certification or degree in legal related discipline along with appropriate work experience may be considered.
Minimum Experience:
3+ years of experience in a legal services or legal research and analysis environment, including:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with banking regulatory structure.
- Firm understanding of the US state and federal statutory and regulatory structure.
- Candidates with experience in legal research, legal content analysis, and legislative analysis can also be considered.

Responsibilities:
The Legal Content & Publishing Analyst for Wolters Kluwer will be a part of Legal Content & Publishing Team. The Legal Content & Publishing Analyst will provide oversight of work assignments for the team in addition to being responsible for analyzing United States federal and state laws and regulations to identify financial institution legal requirements.
The Legal Content & Publishing Analyst will be responsible for the prompt, proactive, accurate and efficient analysis and authoring of state and federal financial institution legal requirements, as well as working with Pune based technical experts to provide input into automation opportunities.
Essential Responsibilities
- Efficiently and accurately review state and federal laws and regulations based on topical search criteria.
- Receive legal topical and jurisdiction assignments from project team members and/or work the intake queue for self-assignments.
- Based on topic and jurisdiction assignment, verify that the WK taxonomy is applied correctly to the legal citation.
- Identify the legal obligations within the law section and curate (author) the resulting requirements in accordance with training standards.
- Excellent ability to review, analyze and evaluate legal requirements and to exercise discretion and sound judgment when making authoring decisions.
- Document questions/issues requiring review by the U.S. based legal team.
- Communicate and calibrate with U.S based legal team and Pune technical team members.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, multijurisdictional exposure preferred and familiarity with U.S. banking rules and regulations strongly preferred.
- Self-motivated with an ability to work independently and with limited supervision after training.
- Excellent computer skills with the ability to learn the electronic workbench authoring process.
- Sound command of the English language– grammar, syntax and style — including an understanding of the conventions of punctuation and capitalization
- Excellent spelling and proofreading skills.
- Effective communication skills – ability to obtain information from others and deliver information to others orally and in written form.
- Organizational skills, including the ability to organize work in an orderly fashion conducive to the prompt, efficient review of an appropriate number of legal citations in a given day or time period.
- Ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions; ability to respond to requests effectively and efficiently.
