Assistant Manager Legal

Responsibilities:
Compliance Management:
1. Procuring and ensuring timely compliance of statutory licenses required for operating the Restaurant Business of the company.
2. Tracking of Timely procurement of renewal of licenses.
3. Managing documentation for procurement of various licenses.
4. Liaising with the Govt. Departments for various compliances of the company.
5. Handling visits by various departments including FSSAI, Legal Metrology, Municipal Corporation (Shops & Establishments, Health, Fire, Advertisement etc.) etc.
6. Drafting of letters and replies to address the inspections / observations given by various Govt. Department and ensure timely submission of the same.
Litigation Management
1. To handle litigations of all nature including but not limited to Civil, Criminal, FSS, Legal Metrology, Consumer and other judicial / quasi-judicial proceedings and ensure smooth closure of the cases.
2. To coordinate with Advocates / Consultants for the proceedings and to attend the courts proceedings as and when required.
3. To draft and vet Notices / Letters, Pleadings, Affidavits, Arguments with respect to the litigations by liaising with the external advocates and consultants.
4. To advise on various issues and provide legal support to various functions of the company.
5. To ensure smooth and timely compliance of the court orders / summons / warrants etc. issued by the judicial / non-judicial bodies.
6. To maintain MIS / Tracker of all the litigations and provide weekly update to Head Legal.
Documentation Management
1. Filing and maintaining repository of both hard copies and soft copies of the relevant documents.
2. Filing of notices / litigations in the respective files and maintaining their trackers.
3. Proper filing and record keeping to protect as well as to make them available at all times to the management and others.
