Qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent diploma (Employee/Labor Relations, Psychology, Law, Law Enforcement, or related field of study preferred).
- Demonstrated expertise in Employee/Labour Relations, client-facing People Business Partner role, Compliance or Diversity, Equity & Inclusion role
- Proven experience in dispute resolution and managing sensitive employee-related issues, including workplace harassment, discrimination, bullying
- Experience leading and managing investigations and related processes, in a government, law firm and/or corporate setting, both in a multi-functional team and individually, is preferred
- Experience working in diverse markets with first-hand experience and awareness of the cultural and geopolitical nuances
- Strong understanding of Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical company policies and processes
Proficient in written and spoken English. Another regional language(s) preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for handling and investigating reports and complaints that are deemed within the scope of and related to P&C (HR) issues made within the Region.
- Co-ordinate with Global Triage and relevant subject matter experts, conduct and lead investigations supervise and provide guidance to local teams on, comprehensive and objective locally managed internal investigations when appropriate to do so for alleged misconduct related to P&C (HR) issues, including violations of the Sanofi Code of Conduct, company policy, local legal/regulatory requirements.
- Conduct complex, sensitive and potentially high-risk investigations into P&C (HR) issues, including interviewing witnesses, gathering and analyzing records, reaching conclusions, and as needed, conducting a root cause analysis to ensure appropriate corrective action is identified, to protect the assets and interests of the company (broadly defined as people, products, intellectual property, and property/operations).
- Oversee, manage, and coordinate the activities of third-party vendors, that conduct investigations on behalf of Sanofi in the region (such as outside counsel or external investigative services firms).
- Ensure that investigation strategies, timelines and ways of working are aligned with Sanofi standards and expectations.
- Provide consultative support and guidance to local teams and management on resolution of employee issues and complaints, in line with our Corrective and Disciplinary action policy and in a manner consistent with culture and legal parameters. Work with People Business Partners and management on the recommendations on investigation outcomes and actions to be taken.
- Act as a Regional Organizational Justice Champion and help lead on development of training, communication, and support on this with the local Ethics and Business Integrity and People & Culture teams.
- Create content for delivery to the business for shared learning and knowledge related the promotion of a Speak up culture, investigations, and the application of fair and consistent disciplinary and corrective actions aligned with Organizational Justice principles.
SUCCESS FACTORS
- Analyse investigative findings to facilitate the tightening and improvement of business processes and to mitigate further risk to Sanofi.
- Provide consultative support on the handling and documenting of locally managed disciplinary issues including corrective and disciplinary action reporting
- Prepare and deliver written summaries and professionally written investigative reports incorporating all evidence required to prove or disprove investigative findings and identify causal factors to facilitate corrective and preventative action plans
- Create a network of key internal stakeholders including the business, local affiliate E&BI Officers, P&C, Internal Control, Audit, Security and Legal and external counsel, for when conducting legally privileged investigations
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with relevant external stakeholders and industry forums.
- Identify trends, emerging risks, and insights regarding misconduct, harassment, discrimination, and other P&C (HR) related investigations.
Managers
- Promote the culture of Ethics and Business Integrity in your team by serving as a role model by ensuring appropriate knowledge and adherence to the principles of ethics and integrity, Sanofi policies and codes of conduct that regulate the pharmaceutical market.
- Comply with and promote Sanofi Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies in relation to the team it manages, which includes the Road Safety Program (Road Safety) with the purpose of preventing accidents, avoiding health risks, promoting the well-being of employees and reducing environmental impacts resulting from the execution of their work activities.
