Senior Contracts Associate A&H
Location:
Kansas City, MO, US Windsor, CT, US
Qualifications:
- Associate degree OR equivalent experience in a related field
- Medical stop-loss or medical insurance experience preferred OR experience proofreading and issuing contracts in a medical or non-medical field
- Takes personal accountability and completes assigned work independently with high accuracy
- Self-starter with initiative in identifying areas of improvement to processes
- Adept in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills with a high level of attention paid to detail
- Ideal candidates will be proficient in English
Responsibilities:
- Proofread and verify policy documents received for accuracy and completeness prior to issuance
- Track and journalize relevant account correspondence
- Utilize company systems and reports to confirm, revise, and add account records
- Assist with training of team members and new hires
- Monitor and process policies by applying business guidelines, while meeting required turnaround times
- Apply the appropriate SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for each task as well as the department Guidelines & Expectations
- Work alongside clients to collect missing data required to process the policy documents
- Collaborate with key partners including, but not limited to, Underwriting, Sales, Regulatory Operations, and other departments as well as outside producers
- Participate in various projects and team meetings
- Maintain and update SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) and reference guides
- Assist Associates with assembling policy documents for new and renewing sales
- Partner with compliance and finance teams for resolution of policy issues
- Perform International Trade Control checks using Bridger application
- Obtain and maintain Master Data Management (MDM) numbers and corresponding information
- Review and ensure compliance with applicable state compliance and licensing regulations
