This trust was set up in 2008 and has offered fellowships to worthy candidates before. Its Board of Trustees includes Justice (Retd ) Aftab Alam, Chander Uday Singh, Gopal Sankarnarayan, Sadhana Ramachandran, Mamata Kachwaha, Raghenth Basant, Vrinda Bhandari and Rahul Narayan.
Qualifications:
- Meritorious young advocates who wish to practice in the Supreme Court.
- The fellowship is open to lawyers enrolled in the bar council of any state as long as they are committed to practicing in the Supreme Court for a period of 2 years.
- Preference would be given to candidates who have between 2 and 5 years of practice. For the purpose of this calculation time spent on non-court activity, such as teaching or law firm experience will be excluded.
