Legal Manager
Qualifications:
• CS + LLB or similar degree.
• 3+ years experience as legal personnel in a corporate business environment.
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures.
• Full comprehension of the influences of the external environment of a corporation.
• Professional ethics and integrity.
• Sound judgment and ability to analyze situations and information.
• Effective communication skills
Responsibilities:
• Providing legal counsel and guidance on all legal matters including equity deal investments, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Leading discussions and documentation for corporate deals including acquisitions, investments, etc.
• Providing legal and secretarial guidance for the company’s business requirements.
• Advising on legal and compliance matters/opinions in day-to-day activities
• Giving accurate and timely advice to executives on a variety of legal topics (labor law, partnerships, international ventures, corporate finance, etc.)
• Collaborating with the retainer legal team to devise efficient strategies.
• Specifying internal governance policies and regularly monitoring compliance.
• Researching and evaluating different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations.
• Communicating and negotiating with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authority, etc.), creating relations of trust.
• Reviewing contracts, and other legal documents; researching legal issues and recommending revisions as necessary.
• Drafting and solidifying agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to ensure the company’s full legal rights.
• Providing clarification on legal language or specifications internally in the organization.
• Helping manage the Company Secretarial function and the corporate governance affairs of the company, including implementing corporate governance standards, and maintaining legal records.
• Maintaining current knowledge of alterations in legislation.
