Contracts Specialist
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field. \
- 3+ of experience in contract management, legal, or a related function.
- Strong understanding of contract law and legal requirements related to sales and purchasing.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple contracts and tasks concurrently.
Responsibilities:
The Contracts Specialist is responsible for overseeing the review, negotiation, and management of contracts related to Sourceability’s sales and purchasing operations. This role will work closely with the sales, purchasing, and legal teams to ensure that all contracts align with company policies and protect the company’s interests.
Contract Review & Negotiation:
- Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including sales agreements, purchase orders, vendor contracts, and NDAs.
- Ensure that contracts are in compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Identify potential risks and suggest mitigating strategies.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with sales and purchasing teams to understand specific contract requirements and nuances.
- Work with the legal department to ensure alignment with broader company policies and legal considerations.
- Coordinate with finance to understand the financial implications and requirements of contracts.
Contract Lifecycle Management:
- Monitor the status of existing contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
- Maintain a centralized digital repository of all contractual documents.
- Provide reminders to relevant stakeholders on contract expirations, renewals, and milestones.
Training & Support:
- Train sales and purchasing teams on the basics of contracts, common clauses, and company policies related to contracting.
- Serve as a point of contact for any contract-related queries from internal teams or external partners.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on changes in contract law, industry standards, and best practices.
- Recommend and implement process improvements for contract development and management.
