Qualifications:

Responsibilities:
As a Corporate Counsel at Wipro, you will be a key senior member of their India based legal and compliance team serving the company globally, responsible for overseeing and managing a large team of junior lawyers and contract professionals.
- Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Proficiency and clarity in drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements, statement of works, response to RFPs and service agreements. Engaging in client/vendor negotiations.
- Team Leadership: Proven leadership skills and supervision of large teams. . Manage team’s productivity and performance, on regular basis to ensure they meet deliverables in a timely manner and meet quality standards. Responsible for team development through regular trainings and mentoring programs. Providing guidance, feedback and upskill performance. Prepare regular reports and strategise ways to develop junior lawyers, onward and upward. Campus recruitment and other hiring per needs of the organisation, ability to pick great talent. Keep team motivated.
- Mentorship and training : Responsible to administer, strengthen various learning programs initiated for building expertise, growth and development of junior lawyersas well as other stakeholders
- Legal tools – use of technology and tools for contract drafting, review and negotiations,
- Legal Compliance: Stay updated on the latest legal developments and regulatory changes.
- Risk Management: Ability to assess contractual and legal risks in IT services and provide strategic advice to the team to mitigate potential legal issues and ensure the protection of the company’s interests.
- Program management: Support management in various legal and risk based projects, such as standardization of contracts, use of Artificial intelligence, company policies, SOPs etc. Develop risk based checklists and handbooks.
- Ability to work with Cross – functional teams within the company and across geographies and arrive at holistic risk assessment and mitigation.
- Manage large volumes of contracts in a structured manner to drive quality and efficiency.
