Qualifications:

Responsibilities:
FTI is seeking an experienced and tech-savvy individual to join their Trial & Arbitration Support team in London. As an International Arbitration Technology Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting legal counsel before and during international arbitration proceedings. Your primary responsibilities will include audiovisual equipment setups, document hosting, and presentation support. They are looking for a qualified candidate with at least 7 years of relevant experience with an existing client base.
Support Legal Counsel: Collaborate closely with legal counsel and their support team to ensure seamless technology integration and exceptional client service. Your focus will be on client satisfaction and responsiveness.
Travel and On-Site Support:
Be prepared to support hearings in London, travel within Europe and occasionally overseas to provide on-site support during arbitration hearings. This includes handling audiovisual equipment setup, document hosting, and troubleshooting any technological issues that may arise.
Technology Expertise:
Possess a strong technology background to support hearings, whether they are conducted in person, fully remote, or in a hybrid scenario. Integrate directly with the legal team during hearings, providing evidence presentation, hosting support, and utilizing various hearing bundle platforms. Skilled in quickly troubleshooting issues that might occur during a hearing and quickly respond with a resolution.
Client Relationship Management :
Foster existing client relationships and develop new ones in between projects. Work closely with our United States-based team and collaborate on networking and info sharing presentations to educate others about our specialty in international arbitration.
Presentation Skills:
As part of the role, the qualified individual will possess strong presentation skills, including proficiency in using specialized software for Electronic Presentation of Evidence (EPE). This involves utilizing existing skills or quickly adapting to new software to effectively present documents electronically during arbitration proceedings. The individual will leverage specialized software organized in a database, allowing seamless document display and real-time annotation for all participants to view and engage with.
Logistics and Organization:
Coordinate with counsel to collect hearing materials, collaborate with venues to determine necessary equipment, and handle all logistics related to equipment setup. During the hearing, manage hearing bundles on a cloud-based system and ensure a smooth and efficient presentation of evidence.
Data Retention and Client Communication:
Understand clients’ data retention requirements and maintain regular communication with them post-hearing. Use strong communication skills to keep projects on track and ensure client satisfaction.
Mentoring and Guidance:
Provide guidance and mentorship to newer team members as our London-based team expands, ensuring the delivery of outstanding customer service across the board.
