Senior Litigation Associate
Qualifications:
- LLB/ LLM degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to the State Bar.
- 7+ years of experience as a litigation attorney
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex litigation matters.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Excellent oral advocacy and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in legal research tools and case management software.
Responsibilities:
- Litigation Management:
- Lead and manage all aspects of litigation, from case inception to resolution.
- Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and provide strategic guidance on litigation matters.
- Court Representation:
- Represent the company in court proceedings, hearings, and alternative dispute resolution forums.
- Present legal arguments and advocate on behalf of the organization.
- Case Strategy and Analysis:
- Develop and implement effective case strategies to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Analyze legal issues, risks, and potential impacts on the business.
- Legal Counseling:
- Provide legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on litigation-related matters.
- Collaborate with other departments to minimize legal risks and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Document Management:
- Oversee the organization and management of legal documents, case files, and evidence.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of legal documentation.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with external legal counsel, experts, and consultants.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, providing updates on litigation matters.
- Budget Management:
- Manage litigation budgets effectively, ensuring cost-conscious and efficient handling of cases.
- Settlement Negotiations:
- Participate in settlement negotiations when appropriate, seeking the most favorable resolution for the company.
