Role:
International VAT Senior Associate 1
Qualification:
- Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
- Requires professional tax/VAT qualification attained from a recognized tax training body (eg Chartered Institute of Taxation, UK, CPA, JD-LLM)
- Requires a minimum of two (2)+ years’ experience providing VAT consulting services in a Public Accounting, Consulting, or Law firm
- Proven record of maintaining client relationships with business owners, tax directors, or CFOs
- Ability to travel within assigned geographical area
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the execution of a growth plan
- Build internal relationships to generate workflow and build reputation
- Provide excellent client service to internationally active companies with VAT needs by interacting with clients and the RSM tax team
- Support technically complex multi-territory assignments within key areas, such as supply chain efficiency, ERP configuration and process improvement, Global compliance (in conjunction with dedicated VAT compliance professionals) and Corporate transactions and restructuring
- Work within multi-disciplinary teams to deliver services
- Operate on a US National basis to support the needs of clients across the US.
- Support and deliver key client engagement and administration tasks
- Develop technical expertise through continuous learning and attend technical and personal development training
- Other duties as assigned
