Role:
Corporate Attorney
Qualifications:
- Education: Law Degree and fully licensed (AIBE)
- Type and Number Years of Experience: minimum 10 years in a law firm or corporate law department setting preferably in technology industry and experience with commercial contracts, SaaS agreements in India, Middle-East and South East Asia (SEA)
- Language skills: English fluent (written and verbal), preferably Hindi and other SE Asia languages
- Able to do some domestic and international travel for the company (1-3 times per year)
- Preferred Requirements:
- Expert communication skills
- Experience in Intellectual Property, Corporate Governance, and Employment Law
- Experience supporting a global sales organization, supporting international transactions, and negotiating across time zones
- Experience doing business with regulated industries (including financial services) and understanding or interest in data privacy/data security
Responsibilities:
Contracts Management
- Review and negotiate sales contracts; manage full life cycle of contract negotiations, execution, and database management
- Work with Sales and Finance to finalize sales agreements, construct complex rate plans, and address ad hoc legal questions
Employment
- Provide general legal support for employment matters
- Assume principal responsibility for tracking and managing immigration matters for the company’s worldwide workforce
Compliance & Privacy
- Front-line oversight and management of general compliance matters including export, HR, and legal record keeping
- Administer export compliance records and screening procedures
- Liaise with outside counsel on ad hoc compliance issues as they arise
- Advise on relevant privacy law matters
Corporate Governance
- Conduct Corporate Secretary functions, including board meetings and regulatory filings
- Understand complex capitalization structure and respond to management and stockholder requests for information
