Role:
Assistant Manager – Legal
Responsibilities:
A. Contract Review, Vetting, and Execution:
- Conduct thorough review and vetting of agreements and tender documents for various verticals and business divisions within The Manipal Group.
- Draft various legal documents, including service agreements, software license agreements, technology-related agreements, lease deeds, MOUs, privacy policies, addendums/amendments, consultancy services agreements, manufacturing, logistics, distribution services agreements, marketing & sales-related agreements, and employment agreements.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research to support the review and drafting of agreements and tender documents.
- Engage with internal clients to understand business models and requirements, ensuring alignment of agreements and tender documents.
- Negotiate with external clients to finalize agreements.
- Facilitate the execution of agreements.
- Maintain records about the reviewed/executed agreements/tenders.
- Maintain a legal database.
- Draft notices and letters.
B. Litigation/Arbitration Related:
- Assist in drafting notices and replies.
- Review and vet litigation-related documents.
- Provide various records, information, and documents sought by business/strategy/tender/finance teams and external lawyers.
