Qualifications:
- LLB is a must have. JD/LLM is good to have
- Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:
- Possessing ability to identify legal issues, and implement and develop negotiation strategies to address legal issues in line with firm policies and general legal principles;
- Utilizing legal background and extensive knowledge of contract law, intellectual property law, as well as the legal principles, liabilities and risks associated with the acquisition of products, services and technology;
- With a strong preference for (i) considerable experience at reputable law firm(s) and/or (ii) experience as in-house counsel, preferably for the Indian subsidiary of a multinational company (or Indian multinational)
- Leading complex negotiations of legal terms, reviewing and drafting contract language, and coordinating the services of outside legal counsel when necessary as it pertains to supporting a commercial transaction;
- Managing multiple transactions simultaneously, cross border, and responding to tight timelines;
- Writing clear, unambiguous contract terms and coordinating complex written and verbal materials for a diverse audience of internal stakeholders and third-party vendors; and,
- Communicating clearly and succinctly with all levels of staff across the legal department and within the firm.
