Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in law (BA LLB Or LLB) along with the relevant experience of 1-2 years.
• Experience in laws related to loan recovery, collections, or legal recovery within the financial services or banking sector.
• Strong knowledge of recovery strategies, debt collection laws, and legal proceedings related to loan recovery.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to handle challenging conversations diplomatically.
• Proficient in legal documentation, loan origination systems, and MS Office Suite.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement effective strategies for the recovery of delinquent loans, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal guidelines.
• Coordinate with external legal counsel and oversee the preparation and filing of legal documents to initiate recovery proceedings, including notices, legal claims, and repossessions.
• Court Appearances and dealing with LEA as and when required.
• Engage with borrowers to negotiate payment plans, legal settlements, or restructuring options to maximize recovery while maintaining a professional and empathetic approach.
• Regularly review and analyse the delinquent loan portfolio to identify high-risk cases and prioritize recovery efforts effectively.
• Ensure that all recovery actions are documented accurately and that all processes adhere to regulatory and compliance standards.
• Maintain updated records of all recovery-related activities.
• Work closely with the finances, collections, and customer service teams to gather necessary information, support recovery actions, and improve the recovery process.
• Identify gaps and recommend process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the recovery process, minimizing the time to recover outstanding amounts.
