Qualification:
– Law degree (LLB), from a recognized institution, with a specialization or keen interest in intellectual property law.
– Good command of written and spoken English; strong legal drafting skills.
– Ability to think independently and prepare legal drafts for all the work related to the above listed responsibilities.
– Communicative with team members and has the ability to work collaboratively.
– Familiarity with IP India online filing portal and e-filing processes.
– Detail-oriented; able to handle deadlines, multiple assignments, and communication with clients and team members.
– Basic computer literacy for online filings and document management.
– Team-oriented approach with professional client handling skills.
Experience:
2-3 years of experience
Responsibilities:
– Advising clients on India’s trademark registration procedures.
– Conduct trademark availability searches and prepare search reports for client advisories.
– Drafting and filing trademark applications, replies to examination reports.
– Attend hearings before Trademark Registry officers (in person or virtual).
– Assist in drafting and filing notices of opposition, counterstatements, and evidence documents.
– Maintain liaison with Registry officials for procedural follow-ups.
– Ensure timely compliance with Registry communications and orders.
– Managing client trademark portfolios, updating records, maintaining filing systems and briefing clients on application statuses.
