Role:
In-house Counsel
Qualification:
1. Graduate from any leading law school in India. Licensed to practice law in India.
2. Post qualification experience of 3 – 4 years, preferably with in-house exposure in a technology provider (products or services)
3. Strong drafting, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
4. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, scaling environment without continuous supervision.
5. Hybrid working model. Candidate must be based out of Bangalore, India.
Responsibilities:
Commercial and Business Support
1. Draft, review, and negotiate MSAs, SaaS/licensing agreements, NDAs, SLAs, DPAs, and Vendor contracts. Experience in IT products and services is required.
2. Act as a business-embedded advisor, balancing legal risk with commercial objectives.
3. Support contract lifecycle management, draft templates and legal playbooks.
Employment and HR Support
1. Review and advise on employment contracts, HR policies, and internal SOPs.
2. Support disciplinary actions, terminations, and employee disputes.
3. Advise on HR compliance and employment-law-related risk management.
4. Work with HR and external counsel on labour and employment matters.
Regulatory and Data Protection
1. Advise on regulatory and compliance requirements applicable to AI-led information technology businesses.
2. Support data protection and privacy compliance, including contractual and operational issues.
3. Coordinate with external counsel on regulatory and compliance matters, as required.
The successful candidate will receive training, institutional support and exposure to commercial legal work across jurisdictions – India, UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Romania, Poland, Philippines, USA.
