Qualification:
- Prior experience in commercial contracting is essential, as is meaningful exposure to media, entertainment or technology related work of this nature. 1 to 2 years PQE.
- They’re looking for someone who finds contracting cerebral and takes real pleasure in crafting contracts, thinks carefully about language, structure, leverage, risk allocation and commercial outcomes, and takes pride in refining templates to reflect client specific requirements, commercial sensibilities, bargaining power and the realities of each transaction rather than merely leaning on precedent.
- They’re looking for someone who is comfortable working at pace without compromising on clarity or quality, is self driven and responsive, takes ownership seriously, and understands that good contracting is not only about identifying risk, but about navigating it intelligently in a way that serves the client’s objectives.
Responsibilities:
This is a drafting intensive role. A significant part of the work will involve preparing first drafts, turning around revisions quickly, and working through a high volume of commercial agreements across media, entertainment and technology mandates.
