About:
ICC International Court of Arbitration is an institution for the resolution of international commercial disputes. It operates under the auspices of the International Chamber of Commerce and consists of more than 100 arbitrators from roughly 90 countries.
The Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration is currently looking for arbitration interns for our Common Law Case Management Team.
Specific tasks include but are not limited to:
- Read and draft documents related to arbitration cases in English
- Legal research and read legal documents in English and one of the languages listed below
- Preparation of conferences
- Translation of legal documents
- Ad hoc assignments as requested by the teams and the services of the Secretariat to which the intern may be assigned
Requirements:
- Preference will be given to students in international commercial law arbitration with strong academic credentials and prior work experience
- Fluent English is a requirement and another language will be a plus
- Organised, meticulous, detail-oriented and motivated
Terms and conditions:
Candidates will have to be registered as students during the entire internship. Recent graduates, who are no longer enrolled in an educational programm, are therefore not eligible for an internship at the ICC.
Interns who are nationals of countries outside the European Union (including Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Andorra, Monaco and Switzerland) are responsible for obtaining the appropriate visa from the French consulate.
Interns are also required to handle their own travel/accommodation arrangements for the duration of their stay. ICC is not in a position to provide scholarships/fellowships.
The Internship is a full-time program. The average working week is of 35 hours. Interns will receive a monthly gratification of approximatively €630 gross + meal vouchers + partial compensation for public transportation costs.
