About:
NFPRC undertakes extensive, peer-reviewed research for long-term projects, as well as incisive, quick-turnaround research for actionable agendas. By leveraging its research capacity, NFPRC assists the Government in reviewing old policies, formulating design and implementation strategies for new ones, and finding ways to enhance the on-ground effectiveness of ongoing schemes. In addition, NFPRC also conducts an impact evaluation of existing policy interventions to identify lacunae or roadblocks and suggest remedial actions.
Role:
Policy and Governance Intern – Tribunal Reforms Projects
Qualification:
- Curious individuals with the ability to work independently with dedicated guidance but requiring minimal supervision
- Strong capacity to process large volumes of material and extract substantive insights
- Structured thinking and clarity in organising ideas and arguments
- Comfort with analytical writing and policy-oriented research
- Curiosity about institutional design, reform processes, and governance systems
Responsibilities:
- Reading and synthesising bulky materials such as committee reports, judicial decisions, books, consultation papers, and policy briefs
- Researching past and ongoing tribunal reform processes in India
- Preparing policy briefs, analytical notes, and other high-quality research outputs
- Examining global practices relating to tribunal design and functioning
- Analysing comparative approaches to institutional and process reforms and assessing their relevance to India
