Qualification:
LL.B or LL.M or Both
10-15 years of demonstrated success across M&A, PE/VC transaction with a nationally recognised law firm
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of 4-6 practitioners and be responsible for end to end execution of transactions, including corporate mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other business combinations.
- The successful applicant will report directly to the Practice Head and the Managing Partner.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, build and maintain strong client relationships, and represent the Firm at industry events and conferences.
- Provide strategic and commercially sound legal advice on general corporate matters, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
- Liaise with clients, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transaction processes.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends to provide proactive and informed advice to clients.
- Conduct legal training for internal teams and clients on corporate and M&A matters. Develop and maintain transaction playbooks and process documentation.
- Spearhead billing and recovery processes for the Team.
- Engage in business development initiatives for the Team and Firm independently explore business.
