Qualifications:
- LL.B. Degree;
- Locally and/or globally recognized privacy certification preferred

- Strong written and oral communication skills in English;
- Ability to understand and communicate legal concepts and analysis to a range of constituents, including business and technical team members, executives, partners, external counsel, and others.
- Strong interpersonal skills, and experience effectively managing relationships with team members, external and internal stakeholders, customers, vendors, and senior leadership
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet competing deadlines, and work both independently and on teams
- Ability to develop and implement processes and procedures as needed

Responsibilities:
Seeking a well-seasoned attorney who is an effective negotiator, a strategic planner, business enabler, and has a willingness to learn and adapt as the business and legal landscapes evolve.
- Commercial Contracts:
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements on behalf of multiple and diverse stakeholders while maintaining accountability, attention to detail, and organization in a fast-paced environment;
- Build and enhance contractual framework, update templates on timely basis to align with new laws, rules, regulations, and legislation, and ensure consistency with global requirements.
- Manage and enhance the contract management system and design and implement process improvement at large;
- Compliance and Ethics : Assist with effective implementation of corporate global and ethics program in India, including but not limited to monitoring legislative and regulatory developments across substantive areas include data protection and privacy, escalating them, and supporting readiness and ongoing compliance with new legislation, regulations, and regulatory guidance. Help drive a culture of compliance and ethics across India consistent with our corporate Code of Conduct, assist with the development of local policies including privacy notices and contract standards aligned with corporate policies, procedures, and standards, help conduct compliance and ethics awareness and training, help ensure that compliance concerns, data incidents, and data and company subject requests are timely escalated and evaluated in accordance with global corporate protocols. Assist with local requirements to corporate compliance controls framework and impact assessment process and serve as a reviewer for local matters for India, support cross-boarder initiatives, contribute to periodic reporting on compliance key performance and risk indicators, participate in other global compliance-related projects, research and stay up-to-date on best practices and laws, and advise the business accordingly. Partner with the third party compliance team in India to provide a one-team approach on compliance and ethics for the business in India. Know-how and knowledge in creating awareness and conducting training in issues such as ISO-awareness preferred.
- Enterprise Risk Management: Identify significant corporate risks in business matters, operations, and processes and work with the business to develop appropriate mitigation measures.
- Advisory: Advise on a broad range of matters to advance the strategic, operational, and legal priorities of the company. Provide practical legal advice in a variety of areas including but not limited to commercial and corporate transactions, protection of corporate assets (including intellectual property protection), HR matters, corporate governance as needed, customer service, fulfilment, and sales & revenue recognition related matters.

- Protecting the Franchise , by ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, implementing best practices and procedures, conducting training, raising awareness across the organization, and ensuring collaboration and teamwork both within India and across the global organization and legal team to ensure we are a “best practice” organization.
- Growing the Franchise , by timely completion of vendor assessments, ensuring customer growth and retention through effective negotiation and execution of commercial contracts, and other such actions.
