Company Secretary cum Legal Counsel

Qualifications:
They are looking for an individual to join our rapidly growing team at Anveshan, as a Company Secretary. You will work directly with the Founder and will be responsible for performing a number of administrative duties. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, professional, and capable of managing their work load and prioritising tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Qualified graduate and member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India with approximately 1+ years of experience with preferably in-house experience with the above responsibilities will be preferred
- A Bachelor’s Degree (in any field)
- Relevant experience as an Executive Assistant reporting directly to senior management
- Ability to successfully work in cross-functional teams
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with an ability to become familiar with firm-specific programs and software (Slack, Asana, Zoho People, etc)
- Proficiency in collaboration and delegation of duties
- Strong organisational, project management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities
- Friendly and professional demeanour
- Discretion and confidentiality
Responsibilities:
- Report to the chairman and often liaise with board members.
- Prepare agendas and papers for board meetings, committees, and annual general meetings (AGMs) and follow up on action points.
- Convene and service AGMs, take minutes, draft resolutions, and lodge required forms and annual returns with appropriate departments.
- Ensure policies, regulatory, or statutory changes that might affect the organisation are up to date and approved by the committee.
- Maintain statutory books, including registers of members, directors, and secretaries.
- Handle correspondence, collate information, write reports and communicate decisions to relevant company stakeholders.
- Implement processes or systems to ensure good management of the organisation.
- Develop and oversee the systems that ensure the company complies with all applicable codes, in addition to its legal and statutory requirements.
- Manage the office space and deal with personnel administration and company/staff insurance policies.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Acting as the point of contact among executives, employees, clients and other external partners
- Prepare internal and external corporate documents for team members and industry partners
- Uphold a strict level of confidentiality
- Develop and sustain a level of professionalism among staff and clientele
- Managing information flow in a timely and accurate manner
- Oversee the performance of other employees
