Role:
Compliance Lead – Privacy(GRC)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, legal or related field.
- Minimum of 6 years experience in a privacy role, with experience in implementing privacy programs.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of global privacy laws including GDPR, CCPA, PDPA, POPIA, and other relevant privacy regulations.
- Proven experience with privacy impact assessments, risk assessments and privacy by design principles.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal audiences.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with a demonstrated ability to handle confidential information.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate issues and create new systems that streamline operations, resolve concerns, and improve efficiency.
- Good compliance understanding of industry domains such as ISO 27001, ISO 22301, GDPR etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Communication & Teamwork
- Showcase strong cross functional skill sets with GRC.
- Strong project management skills
Responsibilities:
- Expertise in Data Protection laws and practices, including deep understanding of Global/local/sectoral laws including GDPR.
- Deep understanding of Privacy Enhancing Technologies including encryption etc..
- Experience in audit or risk management role.
- Ability to run an initiative or a program under DPO to effectively manage sensitive and confidential information.
- Help develop, implement, and manage processes, internal controls relating to privacy frameworks and offer privacy support to various departments
- Technology and automation
- Understanding of state-of-the-art technologies and automation.
- Data privacy tools understanding.
- Educational Qualification
- Review of policy and procedure with implementation across organization
- Should be able to quantify risks and define criticality.
- Work with the internal teams to build on an existing information security program and ongoing security projects that address information security risks and compliance requirements.
- Monitor and report on compliance with security policies, as well as the enforcement of policies.
- Ensuring operational compliances with regulations such as ISO 27001, ISO 22301, PCI-DSS, Data Privacy etc.
- Recommend and coordinate the implementation of technical controls to support and enforce defined security policies.
- Execute technical risk assessments around applications, control testing etc.
- Ensure privacy by design
- Ensuring operational compliances with data privacy regulations like GDPR and guiding the delivery managers on privacy by design and security by design principles
