About:
Cell for IPR Promotion & Management (CIPAM) is a professional body under the aegis of Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
CIPAM is working towards ensuring focused action on issues related to IPRs and addresses the 7 objectives of the National IPR Policy adopted by the Indian Cabinet in May 2016. CIPAM assists in simplifying and streamlining of IP processes, apart from undertaking further steps for furthering IPR awareness, commercialization and enforcement.

Qualification:
- Master’s Degree in Law with 5 years of post-qualification working experience.
- Age limit: Below 45 years as on Jan 1, 2025
- Desirable Qualification: Candidates with a PHD Degree, and post-qualification experience in the field of IPR with a Law Firm, Academic Institution, Company, Government Department, etc. will be given preference.
Responsibilities:
- Providing expert assistance on legal and policy matters related to Intellectual Property
- Coordinating with various Government Departments, Industry Stakeholders, and International Bodies
- Providing research and advisory support on WIPO treaties and Free Trade Agreements (FTAs)
- Providing assistance projects, conception research on IP from through to execution, and offering potential advice on amendments to Laws in the IP domain
- Supporting officials from the Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) on adhoc requests
- The position requires the ability to undertake travel within India and abroad as necessary.
