Director – Legal Compliance
Qualifications:
- Diligent at identifying problems along with an ability to present solutions that are creative and pragmatic.
- Experience of managing work and teams in highly-matrixed organizations through direct and indirect influence
- Mentoring, managing and developing talent.
- Commitment to expanding business, legal and technical skills.
- Proficiency to deal with computer systems that will be supplemented with contracts management software
- Develop policies, procedures and guidelines to further the requirements of the compliance arm under Legal.
- Perform legal research to assist in preparation of accurate and timely reports, legal advice, case files, and other legal documents.
- Oversee organization of legal files and materials so that they are easily accessed and retrieved without compromising the confidentiality or privacy of the information they contain.
- Team management and mentorship
- Efficiency focus with a bias for action.
- Developing followership throughout the organization through good ambassadorship and managing with and without direct influence.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding oral and written communications in English,
- Exemplifies leadership, grace under pressure and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the in-house compliance programs for the territories along with the territory counsels.
- Managing the Cyient Compliance Tool – implementation and regularization of reported non-compliances
- Drafting policies and procedures to address the compliance requirements (eg FCPA, AML, etc).
- Considering new business models and working through associated legal issues and risks.
- Analyzing legal issues and commercial risks, presenting clear recommendations to assure legal compliance.
- Collaborating with support functions across the business including Operations, HR, Finance, Risk and IT Security.
