Role:
Head of Legal
Responsibilities:
- Legal Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute legal strategies that align with the company’s goals, particularly in the context of catering services on trains and rail infrastructure.
- Dispute Resolution: Handle any disputes or litigation, particularly those related to contractual obligations with rail operators, food safety claims, or customer complaints. Manage relationships with external legal counsel as needed.
- Contract Management: Oversee the drafting, negotiation, and review of contracts with suppliers, rail operators, and other stakeholders, ensuring favourable terms and risk management for the company.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant rail and food industry regulations, including health and safety standards, food handling laws, and transportation regulations. Stay updated on industry-specific legal changes that could affect business operations.
- Licensing & Permits: Ensure the company secures and maintains all necessary licenses and permits for food services and operations within the rail industry.
- Corporate Governance: Provide legal support to the Board of Directors and senior management on governance matters, ensuring that the company adheres to best practices in legal and regulatory compliance.
- Data Protection & Privacy: Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy laws, particularly where customer and employee data are involved in catering and onboard service operations.
