Role: Intellectual Property Manager
PQE: 10+ yrs
Location: Delhi, India (Remote)
Responsibilities:
- Draft and review letters, contracts, and other legal documents
- Register and maintain registration of trademarks, and prosecute or defend intellectual property rights, if necessary
- Registration and compliance with post-registration and/or licensing requirements of regulatory agencies or authorities in India
- Maintain and track legal files and documents, and update legal precedents
- Maintain and update logs of active matters or requests to the Legal Division and the corresponding status
- Conduct Legal Research on various legal topics and subjects
- Liaise and deal with government offices in India, and represent the company in court and conduct litigation, whenever necessary
- Handle Human Resource functions and assist the Human Resource Team with the compliance and implementation of labor laws, rules and regulations in India, and resolve legal issues arising from employment, if any
- Occasionally report or take orders or requests from the Corporate Strategist
- Work on other tasks which may be assigned to, or requested from the Legal Division from time to time
Qualifications:
- Licensed Lawyer in good standing, and qualified to practice law in India
- With experience in registration, maintenance and prosecution of trademarks and other intellectual property rights
- With strong background in labor laws, rules and regulations in India and experience in human resource functions
- With knowledge in tax and taxation matters in India and other jurisdictions
- Good command of the English Language, both oral and written
- Strong organizational skills, disciplined, hardworking and can work under minimum supervision and with own initiative
- With keen attention to details, highly analytical, resourceful, creative, and with strong problem-solving skills
- Can deal with all levels in an organization
- Can liaise, deal and transact with government offices in India
- With experience in litigation before the courts
- With working knowledge of Microsoft Programs, Google Suite Applications and other relevant computer programs and applications.
