Qualifications:
- Existing right to live and work in Singapore (we will not be able to sponsor an Employment Pass for this role);
- An excellent academic record;
- 1-2 years of experience working in a private practice environment – this is a role for a newly qualified or junior lawyer;
- Exceptional communication and time management skills;
- Self-motivation, willingness to learn and enthusiasm to challenge yourself;
- Sense of humour and readiness to work collaboratively in a friendly but high-performing team;
- Multi-lingual skills will be an advantage but are not a requirement.
Responsibilities:
You will work as a core member of the Southeast Asia dispute resolution team, focussing on high-value cross-border disputes and arbitrations throughout and beyond the ASEAN region. The team is international, multilingual, high-performing and also friendly, including lawyers who are admitted to practice in a variety of jurisdictions including England, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Australia and the BVI. Their clients include global and regional investors, multi-national corporations, governments and state-owned entities, whose cases arise in major sectors including international trade and investment, energy, construction, technology, finance, and shareholder, JV and M&A disputes.
