Junior Legal Counsel
Qualifications:
Must have
- Undergraduate degree in law (LLB) from a recognized Indian university.
- 3 to 4 years of commercial contract drafting and negotiating experience gained in a law firm and/or in-house environment. Prior in-house (corporate) experience is preferred over law firm experience.
- Commitment to a creative, inclusive, and diverse workplace, and ability to contribute to a sense of belonging in the broader Legal Department.
- Exemplary contract drafting skills, ability to think outside of templates and resolve issues with creativity and precision.
- Hands-on experience in handling local compliance, employment related matters.
- ‘Business partner’ mindset, the desire to collaborate with our teams to innovate and drive business forward, while protecting the organization
- Proven ability to spot issues, work creatively, and use independent judgment to solve problems.
- Thrives in a constantly evolving and fast-paced environment by showing high adaptability.
- Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting.
- Prior work with an IT technology company with substantive experience drafting and negotiating contracts are preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Flexible to work with global business and legal teams.
- Ability to work independently and remotely if required.

Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, redline and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including master service agreements, customer agreements, vendor agreements, non-disclosure, consulting, and other agreements.
- Provide legal analysis and advice regarding initiatives and strategy, including counselling and collaborating on regulatory, privacy, security, emerging technology, intellectual property, and other issues.
- Contribute to the development of business processes and policies to mitigate risk, reduce inefficiencies, and achieve business objectives.
- Identify key compliance risks and issues.
- Ability to work agreements originating from anywhere globally.
- Develop clear communications, guidance, templates, and trainings for the business.
- Serve as the liaison for the Legal Department in engaging outside counsel and support Legal Department initiatives.
- Perform other duties as required.
