About:
The Major League Baseball Players Association is the collective bargaining representative for all professional baseball players of the thirty Major League baseball teams and serves as the exclusive group licensing agent for commercial and licensing activities involving active Major League baseball players. On behalf of its members, it operates the Players Choice group licensing program and Players Choice Awards, as well as the Major League Baseball Players Trust, a charitable foundation benefiting the needy that was established and is run by Major League Baseball Players.

Qualifications:
- 2L or 3L with excellent academic credentials
- Course work and practical experience in intellectual property law and the sports, media or entertainment industries are a plus
- Strong proficiency in legal research
- Excellent legal analysis and writing skills
- Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and attention to detail
Responsibilities:
The Law Clerk will work directly with attorneys and business parties at MLB Players, Inc., which oversees the business affairs and licensing matters for MLBPA. Primary responsibilities include researching legal issues, including those relating to intellectual property, sports and contract law, and assisting with the enforcement of intellectual property rights. The Law Clerk also will assist with licensing agreements, trademark proceedings and other projects as needed.
