Qualifications:
- Law Graduate: LLB / LLM / with relevant qualification in data protection & privacy regime.
- Work experience: 3-4 years.
- Experience in Implementation of Data Protection & Privacy [preferred from Data Centre industry].
- Additional Certifications preferred in ISO 27001, ISO 27701, CIPP, DSCI, etc
Responsibilities:
- Data Protection Affairs:
- Assist DPO in Data Protection and Privacy end to end Implementation on every aspect including various legal, and privacy aspects.
- Oversee design and implementation of the Data Privacy Policy and other necessary policies for handling personal data in compliance with applicable data privacy laws.
- Communicate internal data protection policies and processes to employees, customers, and members.
- Define and monitor the metrics of Organization’s compliance with Data Privacy requirements.
- Liaise with the regulatory bodies on data protection & privacy matters and alert the organization about any risks that might arise regarding personal data & privacy.
- Support DPO as a second point of contact to the data protection authorities for all data protection issues, including data breach reporting
- Maintain records of processing operations by preparing a register of personal information handled and the related personnel (within the PII Inventory) for sets of information. Maintain data flow diagrams, as necessary.
- Study, analyze and track relevant regulatory & technology trends, industry best practices related to data privacy, and highlight changes that may be applicable to the organization. Further, drive organizational change management on data privacy related initiatives.
- Review contracts and agreements, conduct due diligence on sub-contractors, third parties, with respect to privacy needs and ensure privacy compliances are incorporated in the same.
- Oversee data privacy compliance reviews across various countries, processes, IT applications/ infrastructure and vendors.
- In case of a personal data breach, ensure timely notification to the data protection authority and data subjects (wherever required) about the breach.
- Assist with investigations regarding data breaches as per applicable Privacy laws and undertake reporting/remedial action as required. Maintain a log of any incidents and remedial recommendations and actions.
- Ensure timely response to personal data related queries and data subject requests or complaints.
- Monitor management of rights exercised by data principles and report on the compliance status.
- Promote Data protection awareness throughout the organization by providing training and written procedures that are widely disseminated and made available to all staff and branch officials
