Role:
Legal Compliance Specialist
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field. A legal or paralegal background is a plus.
- Proven experience in invoice management, statutory compliance, or related roles.
- Familiarity with legal billing processes and practices.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in using relevant software and tools.
- Experience- 3-8 yrs
Responsibilities:
1. Invoice Management (40%):
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to facilitate the timely and accurate processing of invoices related to legal services and expenses.
Review and verify invoices for accuracy, ensuring compliance with established billing protocols and contractual terms.
Maintain a comprehensive record of invoices, payments, and related documentation.
Address and resolve any discrepancies or billing issues, liaising with vendors and internal teams as necessary.
Generate periodic reports on invoice processing and expenditure for management review.
2. Supporting Compliance Team (60%):
Assist the Compliance team in conducting research to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards and managing the compliance tool.
Contribute to the preparation of compliance reports.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and documentation for compliance audits.
Stay updated on changes in regulatory requirements and assist in adapting internal processes to align with new compliance standards.
