Qualifications:
- LLB/LLM (Diploma/Specialisation in Trademarks is preferred)
- Minimum: 6-9 years of equivalent trademark support experience
- Experience with trademark and prosecution internationally. Corresponded with international law firms and trademark authorities on trademark prosecution
- Knowledge of international trademark law and registration systems
Responsibilities:
The primary role involves providing support to Corporate Trademark (CT) team in Bagsværd, Denmark. Your key responsibilities as a Legal Counsel – Legal Compliance & Trademarks Team (Global Legal GBS) will be to assist in global trademark prosecution and maintenance of the Novo Nordisk group of trademarks along with Trademarks database Management. You will be involved in surveillance of third-party trademark publications and IT trademark management system support in addition to Domain Name filing and management.
- File trademark applications with trademark authorities globally, either directly with the authority or through external trademark counsel.
- Tracking progress of applications/renewals with external counsel. Sending reminders as needed.
- Data entry of trademark application/registration/renewal data (e.g. official deadlines, publication dates, renewal dates) and related correspondence.
- Invoice Processing and approval received from external vendors and trademark authorities.
- Identify potential areas of processes improvement and prepare procedure for implementation under advice from Corporate Trademarks.
