Role:
Legal Due Diligence Specialist
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law; qualified under a common law jurisdiction
- Proven experience in legal due diligence, contract review, and negotiation, preferably within the veterinary or related healthcare industry
- Strong understanding of regulations and compliance requirements
- Able to carry out research and searches independently for various business sectors
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic legal advice and contribute to the achievement of business objectives within the veterinary sector
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a remote and flexible environment, with the potential for ongoing involvements
- Knowledge of the M&A process, specifically the pre-contract stage
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive legal due diligence on various business sectors worldwide , and other specified regions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and identifying potential legal risks
- Collaborate closely with our General Counsel based in the UK and cross-functional teams to streamline legal processes and contribute to the successful execution of acquisitions and rollups.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, contracts, and agreements related to specific industry practises for acquisitions and ongoing operations in specific jurisdictions and other specified regions
- Stay informed about changes in relevant laws and regulations specific to the industry, providing timely and strategic legal advice to support business decisions
- Assist in the development and implementation of legal strategies to mitigate risks and promote compliance across the organization’s operation.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to provide legal guidance on a range of veterinary-specific matters, fostering a proactive and solutions-oriented legal approach
