Qualifications:
- Should be a Law graduate with 5-6 years’ experience in law firms/fintech/ MNC/In-House.
- Experience in general corporate end-to-end contract negotiation and execution.
- Should be able to take full accountability, work independently with minimum supervision.
- Should have experience leading small teams and should be comfortable reporting directly to the management.
- Experience in laws related to digital payments, intellectual property, cloud computing, financial services and fintech business.
- Passion to analyse legal aspects of new products related to fintech space.
- Fluency in MS Office and related tools.
- Candidates must have the ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and to re-prioritize quickly to address shifting business needs.
- Excellent communicator (written and verbal), with an ability to make complex regulatory concepts clear to business teams, engineers and regulators.
- A commercially savvy “business enabler”, who can proactively engage various stakeholders.
- Ability to provide timely support as a team member on a wide array of regulatory projects
Responsibilities:
- Independently drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts for various business lines including technology agreements, SAAS agreements, software license agreements, procurement and other day to day business contracts.
- Providing strategic legal and commercial advice to business teams on technology laws, payment laws, intellectual property laws, regulations, data protection, employment laws, compliance and risks relating to our business.
- Providing legal and compliance support and advisory for any M&A transactions.
- Supporting corporate secretary tasks and other departments to ensure timely compliance.
- Managing and instructing external counsel for ongoing litigations. Developing litigation strategies for ongoing and potential litigations.Analyzing and assessing business processes, identifying issues and proposing pragmatic solutions while possessing a strong legal and business judgment.
- Advising the business teams on laws applicable and legal risks related to new lines of business and assist the business teams in structuring the new lines of business.
