Role:
Legal Manager
Qualifications:
- BA LLB(Hons), LLB, BBA LLB or LLM or equivalent
- 6 to 12 years of relevant work experience.
- Ideal candidate should hold a good portfolio of work already executed and should be able to present it at the time of applying for the job.
- Language Proficiency – Excellent language capability including the ability to communicate orally and to draft legal documents in English. Ability to also read and speak Kannada would be an added advantage.
- Graduates from National Law Schools and other premiere law schools like UPES Law School, Christ School of Law, Jindal Global Law School, etc. would be preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting and vetting of contracts such as agreements with vendors, letter of intents, memorandum of understanding, term sheets, purchase/work orders, etc.
- Liaise with external law counsels to effectively coordinate the legal due diligence of land and litigation.
- Reviewing and assisting in the drafting of all deal documentation including JDA, GPA, agreement of Sale, etc.
- Communicating and liaising with internal stakeholders, collating inputs, and ensuring timely closure.
- Coordinate with and seek legal opinions, as required, from legal advisors.
- Keep abreast of and inform management on relevant developments in real estate, such as court ruling or legislative amendments.
- Knowledge of RERA, real estate and court matters, municipal Laws also providing legal advice to the management.
- Required to analyze the risks while signing new business deals.
- Handling queries raised with regard to projects.
- Knowledge of Legal & Corporate Governance /Compliance issues.
- Maintenance of an up to date legal database.
- Strong drafting and negotiating skills, along with excellent business judgment and attention to detail, and the ability to think strategically to analyze and solve legal challenges
- Ability to independently, quickly and accurately assess legal, practical and business risks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work cross-functionally and develop and maintain strong working relationships
