Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree required; legal, business, or technology-related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in legal operations, corporate legal departments, or law firms.
- Familiarity with legal billing systems, CLM platforms, and data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with entity management platforms, e-billing platforms, and contract databases.
- Knowledge of legal operations frameworks (e.g., CLOC, Legalops.com, ACC Legalops Core Competencies).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and workflow automation tools (e.g., Power Automate).
Responsibilities:
Entity & Contract Management
- Support corporate entity governance and maintenance across jurisdictions, including business licenses, board resolutions, and finding ways to perform such duties efficiently through systems and tools.
- Oversee contract lifecycle processes, including SharePoint site enhancement, template management, tracking, and renewals.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely contract execution and compliance.
Outside Counsel & Vendor Management
- Administer outside counsel engagement processes, billing guidelines, manage billing process, and facilitating payment process.
- Monitor legal spend, analyze invoices, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Manage law firm matter budget review process and alternative fee arrangements.
- Maintain vendor relationships and performance metrics.
Legal Technology & Digitization
- Manage, identify and implement legal tech tools to drive efficiencies in performance of duties above (e.g., e-billing, matter management, CLM systems).
- Drive and champion digitization initiatives to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes.
- Collaborate cross functionally to ensure system optimization and adoption.
- Improve data integrity and analytical reporting capacity.
Process Improvement, Data & Reporting
- Identify and implement process improvements across legal operations.
- Develop and maintain dashboards to track legal department KPIs and performance.
- Generate reports on legal spend, contract turnaround times, and operational efficiency.
- Provide insights to leadership to support strategic decision-making.
- Implement effective change management programs and procedures.
