Qualifications:
They are looking for a standout colleague with excellent written and oral communication skills who enjoys working collaboratively and constructively with colleagues across a diverse range of backgrounds, functions, and regions.
You are admitted to practice in the UK and/or another jurisdiction in EMEA, and have worked on commercial litigation, including insurance matters, for 5 years or more.
You have strong analytic and pragmatic litigation skills and are committed to providing high-quality client service, balanced with a clear focus on protecting the interests and reputation of Swiss Re.
Past in-house experience
Responsibilities:
You will be involved in the management of outside counsel and conduct witness interviews and draft discovery responses and settlement agreements related to disputes in courts, arbitration, and mediation. You will counsel the business on litigation risk, help resolve disputes before formal proceedings commence and identify emerging areas of legal risk. Knowledge of e-discovery practice and procedure is vital.
You will cultivate positive working relationships with other members of the Dispute Resolution & Financial Crime Legal Advisory team and outside counsel; work collaboratively with internal clients and legal and compliance colleagues; and share your knowledge in formal trainings and across a variety of platforms.
Contribute to quarterly legal reports, Division projects and initiatives.
Help develop efficient policies and practices to promote and maintain high legal and ethical standards.
