Role:
Paralegal
Qualification:
- Qualified in Paralegal Studies/ Corporate secretarial or a related field.
- Paralegal certification from an accredited institution is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a paralegal, preferably in an in-house legal department or corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Experience in corporate secretarial functions and knowledge of corporate governance.
- Familiarity with corporate law and regulatory compliance in a multinational context.
Responsibilities:
- Review, and file legal documents such as board resolutions, and Key corporate documents
- Assist Legal counsel with the board meetings, shareholder meetings, and other corporate events.
- Maintain and organize legal files, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and accessible.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders, and external parties involved in legal matters.
- Manage and coordinate schedules, appointments, and deadlines for the legal team.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, copying, and scanning documents.
- Stay updated on changes in corporate secretarial framework with respect corporation’s operations in various jurisdictions in Middle east and Asia Pacific region.
- Provide corporate secretarial support, including preparing board meeting agendas, minutes, and resolutions with notarisation/ Apostille and ministry/ embassy attestation as required.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements and maintain statutory records.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders such as auditors, regulators, liquidators and shareholders.
- Support the legal team in managing corporate transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
