Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance and support to Morningstar’s Legal operations in the Americas, EMEA and India. This position will be based in Mumbai and will report into the Senior Legal Counsel, Corporate Services, for North America, located in the United States, with a matrix reporting line in to the Senior Legal Counsel, Corporate Services, for India. This role has a diverse set of responsibilities, including assistance with project coordination, contract documentation, fact gathering, and research, covering matters relating to procurement, employment, real estate. This position is a coordination and operational position, and will not involve the provision of legal advice.
- Assist with the administration of the Legal Department’s matters and support workflows, task lists, status updates, factfinding, discovery, and overall legal matter organization;
- Assist Legal Team with special projects and responsibilities in the Legal Department, as needed;
- Assist Legal Team with review and vetting of contracts;
- Assist Legal Team in the collection of responses to due diligence questions;
- Be the local liaising point between Legal Team in the Americas, EMEA and India;
- Coordinating with business and functional units to obtain necessary information and documents on behalf of the Legal Department; and
- Other administrative and operational tasks, as needed.
- Responsibilities will not include the provision of legal advice.
